Affordable Closets Inc. – Purchase Agreement Terms

Thank you for choosing Affordable Closets Inc. (ACI) for your custom storage solution. This Purchase Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing your order. By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Custom Order & Deposit

  • All closet systems, cabinetry, and related products are custom-built to the customer’s specifications.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered or production has begun.

2. Preparation of Installation Space

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring the installation area is completely cleared of personal items, furnishings, and obstructions before installers arrive.
  • If the space is not cleared, the customer authorizes Affordable Closets Inc. installers to remove items as necessary. Affordable Closets Inc. is not liable for any damage to personal property, furnishings, or belongings resulting from such clearing.

3. Scheduling & Access

  • Installation dates are estimated and subject to change due to supplier delays, material availability, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • The customer agrees to provide safe access to the property, including clear entryways and functioning utilities (e.g., electricity, climate control) necessary to complete the work.

4. Changes & Modifications

  • Any changes to the approved design, finishes, or layout after production begins will result in additional charges and extended timelines.
  • All change requests must be made in writing and approved by Affordable Closets Inc.

5. Payment Terms

  • A deposit is required to initiate the order.
  • The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of installation.
  • Payments not received within 7 calendar days of installation will incur a $150 late fee.
  • An additional $150 late fee will be added for each subsequent 7-day period the balance remains unpaid.
  • The customer agrees to be responsible for all reasonable collection costs, including attorney’s fees, in the event of non-payment.

6. Warranty & Limitations

  • Affordable Closets Inc. provides a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
  • The warranty is transferable and applies to all subsequent owners with proof of purchase (please see ACI warranty policy for details).
  • The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, improper care, or natural forces (including but not limited to water damage, termites, mold, or humidity).
  • This warranty is void if modifications are made by anyone other than Affordable Closets Inc.

7. Final Inspection

  • Upon completion, the customer (or their representative) will conduct a walkthrough inspection.
    Once approved, the installation will be deemed complete and satisfactory.

8. Entire Agreement

  • While ACI’s materials are guaranteed to be flat, true, and level, walls, ceilings, and floors in all homes—new or old—are rarely perfectly plumb or straight. These natural variations may result in small gaps where cabinetry meets surrounding surfaces. This is a normal and expected condition of most installations. ACI is not responsible for any gaps or unevenness caused by out-of-plumb or uneven site conditions.
  • ACI warrants installation workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of installation. After this period, any service calls or adjustments will be subject to a service fee of $150.
  • ACI has no control over, and is not aware of, how the storage system is used after installation. Therefore, ACI cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from overloading, misuse, or use beyond the product’s intended purpose or weight limitations. Responsibility for damage will only be assumed if it is determined that the issue is a direct result of improper manufacturing or installation by ACI.

9. Entire Agreement

  • This Purchase Agreement constitutes the full understanding between the customer and Affordable Closets Inc. and supersedes any prior discussions or representations.
